You can easily get a sex toys for 10 to 15 dollar. In the first place this looks like a good deal. But here is something you should consider.
Most of the cheap sex toys use cheap materials, like elastomers, PVC, jelly or whatever. All of them are cheap to produce and all of them are porous. The bacteria can hide here very good and so it is not a surprise that you can read all over the Internet that you should use a condom if you use cheap sex toys. If you share your sex toy you should do this in any case with any toy, but even if you do not share your sex toy, infections might occur again and again becauuse you could not clean your sex toy properly. In this case it makes a huge difference if you have a silicone toy, or if you use cheap sex toy that is porous and that will make it difficult for you to clean it.
Let’s do the math. You bought a porous cheap PVC sex toy. Now you have to use condoms with it because you cannot clean it properly. A pack of 12 normal condoms cost about 10 dollar. If you use your toy just 60 times with a condom, you have to add another 50 dollar for the condoms you bought. So within a short period of time your so called inexpensive toy will become more expensive than most of the luxury silicon toys. This example does not include cost for medical treatments.
